French shoe designer Laurence Dacade stuns with a collection that is the epitome of chic—and marvelously comfortable to boot.

Now that our winter boots are firmly back in the closet, it’s time to flaunt some fabulous footwear—and according to Chicago fashion queen Ikram Goldman, there’s no better way to do it this season than with shoes by veteran designer Laurence Dacade.

“Laurence Dacade has been around for a very long time,” notes Goldman, “but I have to say, I think she’s modernized the look of her shoes. They’re so hip and so unbelievably comfortable, but she’s using techniques in the woven shoes and the platforms that lend to a very sexy look on the foot, even if it’s super bulky or big.” How to wear them? It’s all about the particular shoe, Goldman says. “She has shoes that can be worn as everyday sandals [and] platform high-heel evening shoes; you just have to come in and try these shoes on—they are spectacular.” Ultimately, she enthuses, this is a designer to keep your eye on for now and years to come. “All I can tell you is if you are looking for a very cool, modern shoe, look no further than this designer.
